WVU Potomac State College Athletics Welcomes Leah McKenzie as Assistant Cross Country Coach

Keyser, W.Va. — WVU Potomac State College Athletics is proud to announce the hiring of Leah McKenzie as the new Assistant Coach for the Catamount Cross Country team.

A proud alumna and former runner for the Catamounts, McKenzie returns to Keyser with a deep-rooted passion for the sport and a strong commitment to student-athlete development. During her time as a student-athlete, McKenzie exemplified the values of dedication, perseverance, and teamwork.

"We are thrilled to welcome Leah back to Potomac State," said Head Coach Chris Biser. "Her experience as a former Catamount and her enthusiasm for the sport make her a perfect fit for our program. We're excited about the impact she'll have on our current and future student-athletes."

McKenzie's familiarity with the program, coupled with her energy and knowledge of competitive distance running, will help elevate the team's performance and culture. As a coach, she aims to foster a supportive and high-achieving environment that empowers student-athletes both on and off the course.

"Coming back to Potomac State as a coach is truly special," said McKenzie. "This program helped shape me as an athlete and as a person. I'm excited to give back and help our athletes reach their full potential."
