WVU Potomac State College to Host NJCAA Region 20 Division II Softball Tournament

KEYSER, W.Va. — WVU Potomac State College will serve as the host site for the 2026 NJCAA Region 20 Division II Softball Tournament, bringing postseason competition to campus in early May.

The tournament features top teams from across Region 20 competing for a championship title and a berth in the NJCAA Division II Softball National Tournament. Opening-round games were held May 2–3 at campus sites, with higher-seeded teams hosting quarterfinal matchups. WVU Potomac State College entered postseason play as the No. 1 seed and hosted No. 8 Allegany College of Maryland in the opening round, defeating the Trojans 10-6 and 9-1.

The Region 20 Division II Tournament continues on Friday, May 8, 2026, culminating in the championship series scheduled for Sunday, May 10. The title game is set for 12 p.m., with an additional game at 2 p.m. if necessary to determine the champion.  A full breakdown of the tournament schedule and details can be found HERE.

All tournament games are being held in Keyser, West Virginia, providing fans with an opportunity to watch high-level NJCAA softball competition on the home field of the Catamounts. The event highlights the continued success of the Potomac State softball program, which has established itself as a consistent contender in NJCAA Region 20 play.
