Catamounts Earn Multiple Top-Eight Finishes at Larry Sharpe Memorial Invitational

Hagerstown, Md. — WVU Potomac State Men's and Women's Indoor Track & Field turned in several strong performances Friday at the 9th Annual Larry Sharpe Memorial Invitational, highlighted by podium finishes, relay success, and key individual efforts inside the Hagerstown Community College Field House.

 

On the men's side, Trenton Brock delivered one of the top performances of the day for the Catamounts, placing second in the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 8.97 seconds, earning a podium finish against a competitive field.

Potomac State also found success on the track in the sprints, as Trenton Timbrook placed fifth in the 200 meters, crossing the line in 23.41 seconds to secure a top-eight finish.

In distance events, LJ Sealey represented the Catamounts with a strong showing in the 3000 meters, finishing seventh overall in a time of 10:28.84.

The Catamounts' 4x400-meter relay team of Keith Lawrence, Adrian Litchfield, Sebastian Sharp, and Trenton Timbrook combined for a third-place finish, posting a time of 3:48.69 and earning a spot on the podium.

In the field, Tanner Detrick continued his strong indoor season with a second-place finish in the pole vault, clearing 3.59 meters to add another top-eight performance for Potomac State.

 

On the women's side, Mya Greene earned a third-place finish in the 55-meter hurdles, clocking a time of 10.26 seconds to place among the event's top competitors.

In distance action, Baylee Jarrett recorded a sixth-place finish in the 3000 meters, crossing the line in 13:08.32 to cap a solid day for the Catamounts on the women's side.

Potomac State continues to build momentum during the indoor season as athletes prepare for upcoming meets and postseason competition.
