Penn Laird, Va. - The indoor track & field team from Potomac State College delivered several strong individual performances at the Rockingham Collegiate Classic, highlighted by multiple top-10 finishes on the track.
Leading the way for the Catamounts was Trenton Timbrook, who turned in a pair of top-10 sprint performances against a competitive collegiate field. Timbrook placed eighth in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.14 seconds before following it up with a ninth-place finish in the 200 meters, clocking 23.42. His strong double effort provided valuable momentum for Potomac State in the short sprints.
Sebastian Sharp also earned a top-10 finish in the quarter-mile, placing ninth in the 400 meters with a time of 54.74. Sharp's performance continued his steady progression this season and earned recognition from within the program, as he was voted Potomac State Track & Field Athlete of the Week by his teammates following the meet.
In the distance events, Phoebe McCann paced the women's squad with a 15th-place finish in the 3,000 meters, crossing the line in 12:58.87 to lead the Catamounts' distance contingent. On the men's side, Logan Hetrick recorded a 15th-place finish of his own in the 3,000 meters, posting a time of 11:01.61 in a competitive field.
The Rockingham Collegiate Classic marked the conclusion of the indoor season for Potomac State Track & Field, as the Catamounts now turn their attention toward the upcoming outdoor campaign.
