Miller’s No-Hitter Caps Dominant Day for Potomac State

Keyser, W.Va. - Potomac State Softball delivered a dominant all-around performance on Monday, overwhelming Hocking College in a doubleheader sweep highlighted by an offensive outburst in Game 1 and a historic pitching performance in Game 2.


Game 1 – WVU Potomac State 25, Hocking 1

The Catamounts wasted no time setting the tone, erupting for 25 runs on 22 hits in a commanding run-rule victory.

Potomac State plated multiple runs in every inning, including explosive frames in the second and third that broke the game wide open. The offense was relentless from top to bottom, with Alaira Harrington and Adison Pritts leading the charge. Harrington finished a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBIs and four runs scored, while Pritts matched her with a 4-for-4 performance that included a home run and five RBIs.

Delaney Randolph contributed a strong day at the plate with three hits, including a pair of doubles and three RBIs, while Olivia Julian added a perfect 4-for-4 effort. The Catamounts showcased their depth as 10 different players recorded hits and 11 drove in runs.

In the circle, Randolph set the tone early, tossing three scoreless innings while allowing just two hits. McKinlea Hill closed out the game, limiting Hocking to one run over the final two innings.


Game 2 – WVU Potomac State 10, Hocking 0

Game 2 belonged to Lacie Miller, who etched her name into the record books with a dominant no-hit performance, the first of her career.

Miller was in complete control from the start, tossing a five-inning no-hitter while striking out four and allowing just one baserunner via walk. She faced just 18 batters in a masterclass outing, shutting down Hocking's offense and sealing the sweep in emphatic fashion.

Offensively, the Catamounts provided early support with a four-run first inning and added six more in the fourth to put the game out of reach.

Harrington continued her strong day with two hits and an RBI, while Pritts and Maddie Fields each added two hits. Katelyn Cooper delivered the biggest swing of the game with a home run and finished with two RBIs, and Carlee Haines chipped in with an RBI knock.


The Catamounts combined for 35 runs on 35 hits across the doubleheader, showcasing both explosive offense and dominant pitching as they secured the sweep.
