Potomac State Volleyball Sweeps Chesapeake in Tri-Match Opener

Keyser, WV — The WVU Potomac State College Volleyball team opened their home tri-match with a commanding performance, sweeping Chesapeake College in straight sets (25-12, 25-8, 25-13) on Saturday, September 13.

The Catamounts showcased their depth and offensive firepower, hitting an impressive .420 as a team while holding Chesapeake to zero kills across all three sets. Christianna Sledge led the charge with 11 kills on 15 attempts, hitting a stellar .667 and adding 17 total points. Elliana Mosby followed closely with 8 kills and a team-high .778 hitting percentage.

Setter Victoria Lester orchestrated the offense with 34 assists and chipped in 4 points, while Delaney Randolph contributed 6 service aces and 10 digs, demonstrating her all-around impact. Sarah Iman was a force at the net, tallying 6 kills on 10 swings without an error. The Catamounts served aggressively, racking up 20 aces and keeping Chesapeake out of system throughout the match.

With the win, Potomac State improves their record and sets the tone for the remainder of the tri-match. The team will look to carry this momentum into their next matchup later in the day.
