Keyser, W.Va. – WVU Potomac State Volleyball secured a strong home victory on Monday night, defeating Penn State Fayette in four sets (25-16, 25-16, 23-25, 25-21) inside Lough Gymnasium. The Catamounts controlled the opening two sets behind steady attacking and tough serving before Fayette battled back to edge out the third. Potomac State regrouped in the fourth to close out the match and improve their record at home.
Sarah Iman paced the Catamount attack with 21 kills and added a solo block, giving Potomac State a steady presence on the front line. She was joined by Christianna Sledge and Elliana Mosby, who each reached double figures with 10 kills apiece. Mosby added four block assists, while Sledge chipped in with two. Running the offense, Victoria Lester distributed 40 assists on the night while also making an impact at the service line with a team-best seven aces. She added nine digs and a block assist to round out a well-balanced performance.
Defensively, Delaney Randolph led all players with 19 digs, while Ashton Spiker and Sledge each reached double digits with 12. Alyssa Abel also contributed at the net with a combination of three kills and five blocks. In total, Potomac State recorded 49 kills, 63 digs, and 17 blocks, using a balanced effort on both sides of the ball to secure the win.
The Catamounts return to action later this week as they host a Homecoming Tri-Match on Saturday, October 4th, 2025, with contests against Butler County Community College at 12pm and Anne Arundel Community College at 4pm.
