Catamounts Sweep Anne Arundel to Close Out Homecoming

Keyser, W.Va. — WVU Potomac State Volleyball finished Homecoming Saturday on a high note, sweeping Anne Arundel Community College 3–0 (25–12, 25–23, 25–22) inside Lough Gymnasium to cap off the 2025 Homecoming Tri-Match.The Catamounts came out strong in the opening set, taking control early and maintaining momentum throughout the match.

After holding off late rallies from the Riverhawks in sets two and three, Potomac State sealed the straight-set victory behind a balanced attack and strong defensive effort. Elliana Mosby led the way offensively with 14 kills and three service aces, while Sarah Iman followed closely with 15 kills and four aces of her own. Alyssa Abel contributed six kills, and Christianna Sledge added five to round out a well-distributed offense.

Setter Victoria Lester ran the offense efficiently with 37 assists and added three block assists on the defensive side. In the backcourt, Delaney Randolph and Sledge combined for 22 digs as the Catamounts kept Anne Arundel off balance from start to finish.

With the win, Potomac State improved to 8–3 overall, closing out a successful Homecoming weekend in front of the Lough Gymnasium crowd. The Catamounts will return to action next week as they host Westmoreland County Community College on Monday, October 6th, 2025 at 7pm.
