Greensburg, Pa. — The Potomac State College Cross Country teams turned in outstanding performances at the Pitt Greensburg Fall Classic, highlighted by a first-place finish for the men's team and an individual win on the women's side.
Men's Team Cruises to Victory
The Catamount men captured the team title with just 17 points, outpacing second-place Penn State DuBois (48) and host Pitt-Greensburg (81). Sophomore Logan Hetrick led the way for Potomac State, finishing second overall in the 8,000-meter race with a time of 31:12.00. He was followed closely by freshmen LJ Sealey (31:16.70) and Dylan Poston (31:33.80), who placed third and fifth, respectively. Rounding out the top scorers for the Catamounts were Richard Hudson (32:36.10, 7th) and William Boddy (32:46.80, 8th), giving Potomac State five runners in the top ten. Freshmen Sebastian Sharp (37:24.00) and sophomore Emmett Slayman (38:00.40) also turned in strong efforts to solidify the team's depth.
Huff Leads Women with Individual Title
On the women's side, freshman Teagan Huff continued her stellar debut season by winning the 6,000-meter race in 26:57.30, nearly 30 seconds ahead of the field. She was followed by sophomore Baylee Jarrett, who finished third overall in 28:11.10, and freshman Phoebe McCann-Weaver, who placed fifth in 29:04.40.
Sophomore Morgan Niland also contributed a top-15 finish (13th, 33:12.90), helping Potomac State establish a strong showing in the meet.
