Resilient Catamounts Fall in Region 20 Semifinal, Finish Most Successful Season in a Decade

October 30, 2025

Columbia, Md. - Potomac State Men's Soccer closed out a standout 2025 campaign with a hard-fought 5–0 result on the road against nationally ranked CCBC Essex in the NJCAA Region 20 Semifinals.

While the match didn't go the Catamounts' way, the season will be remembered as one of the program's best in recent history. Potomac State finished the year with a 9-4-1 overall record and an 8-3-1 mark in conference play — the program's most wins in a single season since 2015 and its highest winning percentage since 2013.

Goalkeeper Justin Leclerc turned in a strong performance between the posts with seven saves on the afternoon, while Jonas Balele and Harper Furioso each registered a shot on goal for the Catamounts.

Under the direction of Head Coach Tim Bailey, now completing his second season at the helm, Potomac State continued to build a strong foundation rooted in discipline, resilience, and steady improvement.

The Catamounts look to carry the momentum from this historic season into year three under Coach Bailey, as the program continues to rise within NJCAA Region 20 and the broader NJCAA landscape.
