Keyser, W.Va. - Potomac State Women's Basketball capped off a successful doubleheader for the program on Wednesday night, securing a decisive 62–29 victory over Baltimore City Community College. Following the men's dominant performance in the opener, the women matched that energy in the nightcap, controlling all four quarters and improving to 2–1 on the season.
The Catamounts' frontcourt set the tone, with Ericka Zirk and Mya Glisan delivering standout double-double performances. Zirk anchored the interior with 12 points and 10 rebounds, battling on the glass and providing a consistent scoring presence inside. Glisan was equally impressive, stuffing the stat sheet with 10 points, 12 rebounds, and 3 assists while helping PSC dominate the paint on both ends.
After a competitive first quarter, Potomac State tightened the screws defensively, holding Baltimore City to just six points in the entire second half—including only one point in the fourth quarter. The Catamounts' intensity on the boards and their ability to turn stops into transition looks pushed the lead out of reach. PSC finished with a commanding 52–40 rebounding advantage and forced 19 Baltimore City turnovers.
Offensively, the Catamounts found contributions throughout the lineup. Miya Harris added 12 points and 3 assists, Brylee Wetzel provided a spark off the bench with 12 points of her own, and Shymira Jones chipped in 7 rebounds and 5 points to help sustain the momentum.
With the victory, Potomac State completes the two-game sweep over Baltimore City and carries confidence into a challenging weekend ahead. The Catamounts now turn their focus to the road, traveling to Piqua, Ohio for the Charger Classic, where they will take on Edison State on Friday, November 14th at 7 p.m.
