Catamounts Grind Out 60–56 Victory at Edison State

Piqua, Oh. - Potomac State Women's Basketball opened the 2025 Charger Classic with a gritty 60–56 victory over host Edison State on Friday evening, using a dominant third quarter and a strong defensive finish to secure the road win.

The Catamounts trailed 31–25 at halftime but responded with a surge out of the locker room, outscoring Edison State 23–15 in the third period to take control of the game. Potomac State maintained its composure down the stretch, knocking down key free throws and delivering timely stops to hold off the Chargers in the closing minutes.

Forward Mya Glisan led the way with a 19-point, 10-rebound double-double while also adding five assists in one of her most complete performances of the season. Guard Miya Harris fueled the tempo on both ends, finishing with a team-high 21 points, seven rebounds, four assists, and an impressive eight steals as she consistently disrupted Edison State's backcourt.

Ericka Zirk contributed seven points and seven rebounds, and Larkin Walker added four points and four boards as the Catamounts controlled the interior throughout the night. Potomac State won the rebounding battle 44–36 and held Edison State to just 27.9% shooting from the field while forcing 15 turnovers.

The win marks a strong start for the Catamounts in the 2025 Charger Classic as they prepare to continue tournament play tomorrow.
