Youngwood, Pa. — WVU Potomac State College women's basketball team delivered a dominant wire-to-wire performance Wednesday evening, rolling to an 88–25 road victory over Westmoreland County Community College. The Catamounts set the tone immediately, opening the game with relentless defensive pressure and balanced scoring to build a 25–2 lead after the first quarter. Potomac State continued to control the tempo throughout the night, limiting Westmoreland's offensive opportunities while consistently generating quality looks on the other end.
Potomac State showcased its depth and unselfish play, recording 25 assists on 38 made field goals. The Catamounts also controlled the glass and turned defense into offense, forcing turnovers and capitalizing in transition to steadily extend the lead in each quarter. Mya Glisan led the Catamounts offensively, finishing with a game-high 22 points in just 20 minutes of action. Larkin Walker added 12 points, while Miya Harris contributed a well-rounded performance that included 10 points and eight assists. Multiple Catamounts made impacts across the stat sheet as Potomac State utilized its full rotation.
The Catamounts' defensive effort remained consistent through all four quarters, holding Westmoreland to single-digit scoring in every period and just 25 points for the game.
