Second-Half Push Falls Short as Potomac State Drops Home Contest to Harford

February 6, 2026

Keyser, W.Va. — Potomac State Women's Basketball came up short Friday night, falling 81–55 to Harford Community College inside the Friendly Gym despite a strong effort on the glass and several individual performances. The Catamounts stayed within striking distance early, trailing 20–17 after the first quarter, but Harford used a strong second period to extend its lead heading into halftime. Potomac State continued to compete after the break but was unable to overcome the deficit as Harford pulled away in the fourth quarter.

Ericka Zirk anchored the Catamounts inside, recording a double-double with 12 points and a game-high 21 rebounds, while adding three assists, three steals, and two blocks in an all-around performance. Mya Glisan added nine points, five rebounds, and three assists, and Brylee Wetzel chipped in seven points and four assists while facilitating the offense.

Miya Harris knocked down two three-pointers and finished with six points, while Larkin Walker provided six points in limited minutes before foul trouble slowed her momentum. Off the bench, Riley Pollack contributed eight points and five rebounds, and Shymira Jones added five points, three rebounds, and two assists, bringing energy on both ends of the floor.

Potomac State won the rebounding battle, 45–36, and matched Harford with nine steals, but struggled to find offensive rhythm, shooting 31.9 percent from the field for the game. The Catamounts will look to regroup as they continue conference play, as they travel to face the College of Southern Maryland on Tuesday, February 10th, 2026 at 5pm.
