Larry Kruk enters his eighth season as Head Coach of the women’s basketball program at WVU Potomac State College following a historic 2025–26 campaign.

During the 2025–26 season, Kruk led the Catamounts to a runner-up finish in NJCAA Region 20 while surpassing the 20-win mark for the first time during his tenure. The milestone season marked the program’s highest win total since the 2010–11 campaign and earned Kruk NJCAA Region 20 Women’s Basketball Coach of the Year honors.

Under Kruk’s leadership, the Catamounts have steadily developed into a competitive force within the region, highlighted by a Region 20 Championship during the 2020–21 season. He currently holds a 90–64 career record at the helm of the program.

Prior to being named head coach, Kruk served as an assistant coach for seven seasons from 2012–13 through 2018–19 under former head coach Jim Walton. During that time, he was involved in all aspects of the program, including recruiting, game planning, strength and conditioning, and individual skill development. He was also part of four Western Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference Championship teams and five Region XX Tournament appearances.

A former Catamount student-athlete, Kruk played for Potomac State from 2003–05 and was a member of the 2004 Region XX Championship team.

A resident of Keyser, Kruk holds an Associate of Arts degree from Potomac State College and a Bachelor of Arts from West Virginia University. He also serves as an Admissions Counselor in the WVU Potomac State College Office of Enrollment.
