Potomac State Volleyball Completes Tri-Match Sweep with Win Over Howard CC

Keyser, WV — WVU Potomac State College Volleyball capped off a dominant day with a straight-set victory over Howard Community College (25-21, 25-22, 25-13) on Saturday, September 13, completing a perfect tri-match sweep without dropping a single set.

The Catamounts continued to show early-season growth and cohesion, hitting .255 as a team and outpacing Howard in every phase of the game. Elliana Mosby and Sarah Iman led the offensive charge, each recording 11 kills. Mosby hit an outstanding .476, while Iman added 15.5 total points and hit .300 on 30 attempts.

Christianna Sledge remained a consistent force, contributing 9 kills, 4 assists, and 12.5 points. Setter Victoria Lester dished out 28 assists and added 6 digs, while Delaney Randolph anchored the back row with 14 digs and 5 service aces.

Defensively, Potomac State was sharp at the net, recording 12 block assists and holding Howard to zero kills across all three sets. The Catamounts also served aggressively, matching their 13 service aces with 13 errors but keeping Howard out of rhythm throughout the match.

With this win, Potomac State finishes the day 2-0, showcasing their depth, discipline, and rising confidence as they continue to build momentum early in the season. The Catamounts will host Westmoreland County Community College at Lough Gymnasium on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at 7pm.
