Catamounts Cruise Past Penn Highlands for Second Straight 100-Point Win

Keyser, W.Va. — WVU Potomac State Men's Basketball continued its strong start to the 2025–26 season with another commanding offensive performance, defeating Pennsylvania Highlands Community College 106–75 on Tuesday night inside Lough Gymnasium.

The Catamounts (2–0) have now opened the season with back-to-back 100-point outings, showcasing depth and efficiency across the roster. Potomac State shot 47.7% from the field and connected on 14 three-pointers in a well-rounded offensive effort that kept momentum rolling from start to finish.

David Rushing led the way with a team-high 23 points, knocking down seven threes off the bench to ignite the Potomac State offense. Rodney Vilsaint added 16 points, while Christian Miller chipped in 12 on an efficient 5-for-6 shooting night. Peter Quaye contributed a steady all-around performance with 10 points, seven rebounds, five assists, and two steals.

The Catamounts' balanced attack featured 13 players in the scoring column and 28 team assists, reflecting unselfish ball movement and active play on both ends of the floor. Potomac State also held a 48–41 edge on the glass and forced nine steals to disrupt the visiting Black Bears' rhythm.

Leading 51–32 at halftime, Potomac State maintained control throughout the second half, continuing to push the pace and close out the home victory in style.

The Catamounts will look to keep their offensive momentum going as they prepare for their next matchup on Friday, November 7th, 2025 against SUNY Niagara. This game will be hosted at a neutral site on Allegany College of Maryland's Campus.
