Catamounts Fall at Allegany College of Maryland, Move to 3–1 on the Season

Cumberland, Md. — Potomac State Men's Basketball suffered its first setback of the season on Saturday afternoon, falling 92–82 to Allegany College of Maryland in a competitive road contest. The loss brings the Catamounts' record to 3–1 following a strong 3–0 start to open the year.

Potomac State got off to a fast start, building a 45–36 halftime lead behind efficient offense and strong inside play. However, Allegany used a decisive second half, outscoring the Catamounts 56–37 to take control down the stretch.

Freshman guard RJ Greene delivered a breakout performance off the bench, leading Potomac State with 26 points on 9-of-19 shooting and a perfect 6-for-6 from the free-throw line. Peter Quaye added a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds, while Colby Margenau chipped in 14 points and eight boards. Rodney Vilsaint also reached double figures, finishing with 13 points and four rebounds.

Despite the loss, the Catamounts battled throughout, holding their own on the glass (41–34 rebounding edge) and shooting an efficient 78.6% from the free-throw line.

Potomac State will look to bounce back as they will host Waynesburg JV on Monday, November 10th, 2025 at 7pm in Lough Gym.
