December 3, 2025

Frederick, Md. — Potomac State Men's Basketball fell on the road Wednesday night, dropping a 79–59 decision to Frederick Community College in Region 20 action.

The Catamounts opened the night with solid defensive effort, but Frederick found a rhythm late in the first half to build an 11-point advantage at the break. Potomac State continued to compete in the second half, but the Cougars' efficient shooting proved difficult to overcome as they connected on 53% of their attempts.

Colby Margenau paced the Catamounts with 16 points and nine rebounds, leading the charge on both ends of the floor. Peter Quaye added 11 points and seven boards, while Cam Young provided a spark off the bench with 10 points, including a pair of threes. David Rushing and Rodney Vilsaint each chipped in six.

Despite generating turnovers and creating chances in transition, Potomac State struggled to convert consistently, finishing 3-for-32 from three-point range and 8-for-20 at the free-throw line. Frederick's strong interior scoring and rebounding advantage helped them maintain control throughout the second half.
