Keyser, W.Va. — Potomac State Men's Basketball returned to the win column on Saturday afternoon, using a strong offensive performance and a deep bench effort to take down Anne Arundel Community College, 76–61, inside Lough Gymnasium.
The Catamounts grabbed control early with a 36–25 lead at the break and continued to build separation throughout the second half, outscoring the Riverhawks in both frames. Potomac State's balanced scoring and steady defensive pressure kept Anne Arundel at bay as the Catamounts never allowed a comeback run to materialize.
David Rushing delivered a breakout performance, pouring in a game-high 22 points on an efficient 10-of-16 shooting while adding four rebounds and a block. Cam Young provided a major spark off the bench with 13 points, six assists, and three steals, giving Potomac State key momentum throughout the second half.
Peter Quaye added 11 points and eight rebounds, while Rodney Vilsaint contributed eight points and six boards. Freshman Donovan Ballantine made the most of his minutes with four points on 2-of-3 shooting, and the Catamounts' depth shined as 12 players entered the scoring column.
Potomac State won the rebounding battle 41–38 and forced eight Riverhawk turnovers while assisting on 17 of the team's 32 made baskets. The Catamounts also held Anne Arundel to just two made threes on the afternoon.
With the win, Potomac State improves to 7–3 and looks to carry that momentum into its next matchup as the Catamounts continue to push through early December play.
