Catamounts Secure 94–88 Victory at Westmoreland

Youngwood, Pa. - The WVU Potomac State College men's basketball team earned a hard-fought 94–88 road win Wednesday night at Westmoreland County Community College, improving to 10 wins on the season. Potomac State came out sharp offensively, scoring 47 points in each half and building an 11-point halftime lead. The Catamounts maintained their composure as Westmoreland pushed back in the second half, making timely shots and defensive stops down the stretch to secure the victory.

The Catamounts featured balanced scoring throughout the lineup, with five starters reaching double figures. Rodney Vilsaint led the way with 17 points, connecting on five three-pointers, while Joell Young added 16 points and six assists. Colby Margenau chipped in 13 points, and RJ Greene and Peter Quaye each finished with 11. Jordan Taylor provided a strong presence off the bench, contributing 11 points and six rebounds in key minutes as Potomac State countered Westmoreland's late surge.

Westmoreland cut the deficit to single digits in the final minutes, but Potomac State answered from the free-throw line and with timely perimeter shooting to close out the game.

Potomac State will look to build on the momentum from Wednesday's road win as the Catamounts return from winter break to resume play in 2026!
