Hagerstown, MD - WVU Potomac State Men's Basketball saw its two-game swing come to a close Wednesday night, falling 67–60 to Hagerstown Community College in the second game of a back-to-back. The Catamounts opened the night with strong energy, taking a 31–29 lead into halftime after holding Hagerstown in check for much of the first half. However, Hagerstown used a decisive second-half surge, outscoring Potomac State 38–29 after the break to pull away late.

Despite the quick turnaround, Potomac State battled on the glass, finishing with a 49–42 rebounding advantage, including 23 offensive boards that created multiple second-chance opportunities. Jordan Taylor added nine points and a team-high 10 rebounds, continuing his consistent presence in the paint.

Potomac State generated scoring depth throughout the lineup, with contributions from the bench helping keep the game within reach into the final minutes. The Catamounts also went 16-for-21 from the free-throw line, capitalizing at the stripe to stay competitive. The loss moves Potomac State to the next phase of conference play as the Catamounts regroup and prepare for their upcoming matchup against CCBC Catonsville on Wednesday, January 28th, 2026 at 7pm.
