Rockville, Md. - Potomac State Men's Basketball put together an offensive showcase on Monday night, rolling past Montgomery College (MD), 105–92, to improve to 16–5 overall and 5–2 in conference play. The Catamounts came out firing, scoring 56 points in the first half and shooting over 55 percent from the floor to seize control early. Potomac State consistently attacked the paint and moved the ball effectively, building a 56–45 advantage at the break. Montgomery kept pace early in the second half, but Potomac State maintained its rhythm on the offensive end, answering each run with timely baskets and trips to the free-throw line. The Catamounts added 49 points after halftime to keep the Raptors at arm's length and secure the double-digit road win.
Jordan Taylor led a balanced scoring effort with 22 points on an efficient 8-of-10 shooting, while Colby Margenau added 18 points and three blocks. Joell Young recorded a double-double with 15 points and 10 assists, orchestrating the offense throughout the night. RJ Greene provided a spark off the bench with 17 points, knocking down two three-pointers, while Rodney Vilsaint chipped in 13 points. Potomac State finished the game shooting 53.2 percent from the field and connected on nine three-pointers.
The Catamounts will host Ohio Valley Community College on Thursday, February 5th, 2026 at 7pm.
