Catamounts Roll Past Ohio Valley, 112–93

Keyser, W.Va. — Potomac State Men's Basketball turned in a complete team performance Thursday night, earning a 112–93 victory over Ohio Valley Community College inside the Friendly Gym to improve to 16-5 on the season. The Catamounts wasted no time establishing control, scoring 56 points in the first half behind an efficient offensive attack and taking a 56–39 lead into intermission. Potomac State maintained its tempo after halftime, matching its first-half total to secure a wire-to-wire win.

Rodney Vilsaint led the Catamounts offensively, finishing with 16 points and five rebounds, while Colby Margenau added 15 points, seven rebounds, and three steals, impacting the game on both ends of the floor. Peter Quaye chipped in 11 points and five rebounds, and Jordan Taylor contributed 10 points, six rebounds, and two blocks in the paint.

Potomac State's bench provided a significant boost, highlighted by David Rushing's 13 points and five rebounds in just 10 minutes of action. Donovan Ballantine posted nine points and six rebounds, while Antonio Pollard added eight points off the bench to help maintain scoring balance throughout the lineup.

At the point, Joell Young and Cam Young combined for 11 assists, keeping the offense moving and creating quality looks across the floor.

Defensively, the Catamounts were disruptive, forcing 17 turnovers and winning the rebounding battle, while consistently attacking the rim to generate trips to the free-throw line.

With the win, Potomac State continues to build momentum as it moves deeper into conference play, showcasing balance, depth, and strong execution on both ends of the floor.
